The Fishguard International Music Festival was founded in 1969 by John S Davies and over the last 46 years has presented a programme of predominantly classical music events staged at a variety of venues in and around Fishguard, its twin town of Goodwick and other towns and villages across North Pembrokeshire.
In 2006, Alan Caunce took up the post of Artistic Director and, with the support of his wife Val, was pivotal in rescuing the Festival from almost certain oblivion, breathing new life into the event.
In 2013 the Festival appointed the world renowned pianist Peter Donohoe CBE, and Director of Live Music Now Auditions, Gillian Green MBE as Joint Artistic Directors.
The Festival is a company limited by guarantee and registered charity.
