Two years after Political Mother first took the dance world by storm, this electrifying spectacle is back. Featuring 10 dancers and a live band of drummers and electric guitars, Political Mother is..."PART DANCE SHOW, PART HEAVY-ROCK GIG. AN AUDIO-VISUAL MARVEL" THE DAILY TELEGRAPH. Following its world première at Brighton Festival 2010, a world tour and a sell-out run at Sadler’s Wells, Political Mother’s powerful rock gig atmosphere, Shechter’s own ground-shaking score, and breathtaking ensemble sequences remain unforgettable.

In Uprising seven men emerge from the shadows to bombard the stage with furious energy, bonding and sparring, making up and falling out in a highly charged work, set to a throbbing percussive score.

The Art of Not Looking Back is equally powerful and driven, exploring separation, denial and survival – performed and inspired by the world class female dancers of the company. Physical, complex and unrelenting Shechter’s favoured theme of ‘man against the world’ is presented in a different light.
